Catholic Mommy Bloggers, what is your Secret to being able to get pregnant in your forties? Please share!

As I check out blogs of Catholic Mommies, my question is: What is the secret to being able to get pregnant in your forties? Many of the wonderful blogs I check out on a regular basis were created by lovely Catholic Mommies in their forties who all have young children! Ladies, what is your secret? Does diet and exercise have anything to do with it? Please share!

I tried the dieting and lost thirty pounds....still no baby....

I tried the giving up of the Pepsi.........still no baby.....

I tried praying the rosary, many novenas, ect.....still no baby.....

I tried charting the Creighton Method (A form of NFP).....still no baby....

I had two really FUN surgeries (NOT!)..........still no baby.....

I tried standing on my head after TTC.........still no baby........

I will continue to try to lose more weight, give up the Pepsi, and pray even more rosaries, but I think I've lost hope that I can conceive at all. I will be celebrating my third wedding anniversary on June 16th and in that almost three years we have been TTC, but I haven't been able to get pregnant even once! Not one time!

Should I just give up????

My arm and heart ache....ache so much.....to hold my own baby!

Maybe you could say a little prayer for me? Maybe a rosary? I need them!

Thank you so much!

May God Bless you all!

Love,
Maria

My dream of being a Mommy seems impossible to me right now!

I have decided rather than continue to be sad that I am unable to conceive naturally, to try to be pro-active. One of the ways I'm trying to be pro-active is to improve my health (and fertility) by continuing to watch what I put into my mouth and to exercise more (I tried this before on my Napro doctor's advice, but it didn't seem to help us be able to concieve! Why? Lately I've heard so many wonderful stories from friends and people I don't know who are in their forties who have been blessed to conceive. What is it that these people are doing right and I am doing wrong? I don't get this. It's so frustrating to me!) Another way is to to try to raise funds to adopt a child. I have come to the conclusion that the only way I will be able to achieve my dream and to become a Mother is through adoption. Unfortunately hubby and I do not seem to have enough funds to be able to adopt a child at this time (another source of frustration. So many people are so blessed to be able to conceive on their own and have several children - all without medical help. Do they know how blessed they are? And then there's me who was told on Friday by a co-worker who nicknamed me "Mama Maria" and gave me the compliment I'd be such a wonderful Mommy. Well thank you so much, I really appreciate that but my heart and arms ache so much that no matter what I do, how much weight I seem to lose, how many times I give up the Pepsi and Caffeine, and how many times hubby and I try TTC, we haven't been able to get pregnant even once. Seriously, the only way it seems I can become a Mommy is by adopting but in order to adopt I have come to learn that you need money, a LOT of money, which hubby and I do not seem to have.)I am going to continue to be pro-active and pray the rosary asking Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and other Saints (St. Gianna Beretta!) to please send us a child to love. I am going to trust Jesus that if it's His will for me to become a Mother, then He has a special child out there for hubby and me, and He will help make it happen!

If you want to help, could you PLEASE pray for me and hubby? I would really appreciate it so much! My heart is broken. I want to be a Mommy so much, but can't right now. I hope and pray someday I will be able to!

Thank you so much! May God Bless you all!

St. Gianna Beretta Molla Novena - Her Feast Day is April 28th!

Novena To Obtain Graces Through Saint Gianna Beretta Molla

God, our Father, You have granted to Your church the gift of Gianna Beretta Molla. In her youth she lovingly sought You and drew other young people to You, involving them, through apostolic witness and Catholic Action, in the care of the sick and aged, to help and comfort them.

We thank You for the gift of this young woman, so deeply committed to You. Through her example grant us the grace to consecrate our lives to Your service, for the joy of our brothers and sisters.

Glory be …

Jesus, Redeemer of mankind, You called Saint Gianna to exercise the medical profession as a mission for the comfort of bodies and souls. In her suffering fellow men and in the little ones, deprived of all support, she saw You.

We thank You for having revealed Yourself to this servant as “one who serves” and who soothes the sufferings of men. Treasuring her example may we become generous Christians at the service of our brothers and sisters, especially those with whom You deign to share Your Cross.

Glory be…

God, Sanctifying Spirit, who love the Church as Your Bride, You poured into the heart of Saint Gianna a share of Your Love so that she could radiate it in her family, and thus cooperate with You in the wonderful plan of creation, and give life to new children who could know and love You.

We thank You for this model wife and, through her encouraging witness, we beg You to grant to our families the serene and Christian presence of mothers committed to transform their homes into cenacles of faith and love, rich with generous activity and sanctifying service.

Glory be…

O God, Creator and lover of mankind, You were close to Saint Gianna when, affected by illness, she was in the painful dilemma of choosing between her own life and the life of the child whom she was carrying in herself, a gift long-awaited. Trusting You alone, and aware of Your Commandment to respect human life, Gianna found the courage to do her duty as a mother and to say “yes” to the new life of her baby, generously sacrificing her own. Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Jesus, and after the example of Gianna, inspire all mothers to welcome with love the sparkle of new life. Grant us the grace we are praying for …………. and the joy to find an inspiration in Saint Gianna who, as a model spouse and mother, after the example of Christ, gave up her life for the life of others.

Do you want to lose weight without dieting and help balance your hormones?

Yes, it is possible! Yes, you CAN do it!

I have three books that can help you!

I have read these books, love them, and plan to put what I have learned from the books into action starting this Monday, March 8th 2010!

Would you like to join me? Maybe we can help, pray for, and encourage each other?

What do you think?

Here are the three books I recommend:

This book was written in a novel format by Zonya Foco, who is a nutritionist. The main character in the book is named Karen who is a new Mom, wife, and overweight. She is tired of being overweight and wants to learn how to lose weight, but thinks she has to eat rabbit food and go on a diet. WRONG! One day she meets her neighbors who have lost weight, teaches her how to eat right, and lose weight without dieting. It is a wonderful book! I know you will enjoy it!

This is the cook book which goes along with the book featuring easy to make low calorie delicious meals for the whole family :

And for all of us who are suffering from fertility problems out there and wants to learn how to naturally improve their hormone levels to be able to lose weight, be healthy (and if it is God's will, be able to conceive!)this is one of my favorite books:

If anybody would like to join me on Monday, March 6th 2010, please let me know! Like I said before, I will need many prayers, encouragement, and support! Thank you so much!

You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

May God Bless you all!

Love,
Maria :)
